Football clubs efficiency in social networks Europe and Latam

Sports Value, in partnership with Zeeng, has just finalized its newest study on the football teams. digital presence, and efficiency in social networks. The European giants were analyzed against Latin American times between July and September 2020.

Interactions, efficiency is the key

The study  shows the interactions of each team in each social network, between July and September of that year.

Globally in these three months Liverpool, surpassed Barcelona in total interactions on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube combined. There were 449 million for the English team, compared to 434 million for the catalans.

Flamengo is the biggest highlight outside Europe, with 167 million total interactions, 9th in the world, 7th on Instagram, 5th on Twitter and 1st on Youtube.

Interactions per post

A key indicator is engagement per posts, which analyzes on average how many people interact with club in each post.

Great feature is River Plate, which even without football in the period, presented very high rates of interactions per post.

And Ibis, a small team in Brazil, known as “the worst team in the world”, that presented a giant fan engagement index, specially at Twiiter and Instagram.
