Brazilian football generated R$ 6,7 billion with transfers in the last 15 years

Brazilian football depends heavily on player transfers revenues.

According to data from Sports Value, in 2017 was recorded the highest amount in history in transfers, R$ 960 million.

In the last 15 years, R$ 6,7 billion were generated by the clubs with players transfers. Which is only lower than the TV rights that produced R$ 12,7 billion in the same period.

In relative terms, in 2017 the transfers represented 19% of the total, lower the 37% of 2007, the record of all historical series.

São Paulo surpassed International and leads in revenues with transfers

São Paulo has surpassed Internacional and was the Brazilian club that had the biggest players transfers revenues in the last 15 years.

São Paulo handled R$ 931 million, International R$ 776 million, Cruzeiro R$ 624 million and Corinthians R$ 617 million.
